To increase practicality, depending on your daily needs, opt for a more supportive heel height. Often thigh-high boots are shown with a high stiletto heel, and for good reason. The stiletto elongates the leg, since the cut of the boots are already chopping off the leg halfway. A heel counteracts this illusion, maintaining the appearance of long and – if you style it correctly – even longer legs. However, if the height of a stiletto heel on your boots is too much, try for a wedge heel. Alternatively, there are multiple styles of a flat thigh-high boot. These are every bit as wonderful as the heeled boots, and far more comfortable.
